Characteristics
Beautiful and short via Ferrata with amazing accessibility right on Lake Vorderer Gosausee. It starts with a traverzo a few meters above the lake (you can jump to the lake), where you can reach the rock above the trail using the ladder. The end of the ferrata ends with a rope bridge with one rope at the top and one on the bottom. If you are dizzy, it will be a challenge! Ferrata is cyclical, ending in almost the same place where it begins. In summer, Ferrata is relatively busy.
Arrival
Drive up all the way to Gosausee there are car parks. If you are lucky you might find a spot there, if not you can drive further back and stop at one of the bigger parking lots, you just need to walk more. Keep in mind all parking areas require a ticket, current rate in 2024 is 2 EUR/hr, you will need about two hours.
Approach
From the parking / restaurant a road runs along the left bank of the lake. After about 20 minutes, you'll reach an intersection. Keep following the road next to the lake for a little bit. You will see the start of the ferrata on the right hand side going down towards the water. The end of the via ferrata is on the left hand side above.
Descent
The ferrata ends in the same place where it starts. You can go back to the restaurant using the same trail.
