Characteristics

In a water tower built in 1907, which supplied water from Alt-Mockau, a climbing center was built in 2004 and via ferrata was added to the outer wall of the tower in June 2018.

The path leads along one side of the hinuaf tower, passing over to the other side of the tower and then back down again. It does not have a one very hard segment, it is difficult all the time. The tower is about 30m heigh and the ferrata is about 90 long. It is very mentally demanding because it is very airy!

To Leipzig and then to the Mockau GmbH climbing tower. Tauchaer Strasse 14.

Approach

First, go ot the front desk to check in and pay 10 € and then go right ahead and start the ferrata.

Exit

The ferrata goes back down but not the same way. Ferrata is one way only!
