Characteristics

A short and nice, not too demanding via ferrata, near the top station of the cable car. ideal warm-up trail before Mittenwalder Hohenweg.

The time of approach is calculated from the upper station of the cable car, if you decide to walk add about 4.5h.

Arrival

Munich and here on the motorway to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In GA-PA, turn in the direction of Mittenwald and park at the Karwendelbahn cable car, you'll have to pay for the car park.

Approach

From the top station of the cable car to Westliche Karwendelspitze and after a few minutes you'll be at the start of the ferrata - it is well marked.

Exit

From the summit, easy secured path (difficulty A) back to the bottom station of the cable car.
