Characteristics

Königschusswand Steig - Klettersteig is the shortest of the three ferratas leading to Preinerwand, but it is difficult and there are several challenging sections. You can also get there by - Hans von Haidsteig and Preinerwandsteig.

Arrival

Go to Reichenau an der Rax where you turn left and drive through the town of Prein an der Rax. After that turn right, follow the pointer Klettergebiet Preinerwand / Griesleitenhof. It goes straight to the road where you can park.

Approach

The forest path take you to Preinerwald and after a few hundred meters turn left into the forest. After the end of the forest you will go to the gravel field and HAIDSTEIG begins on the right. You will go even further uphill when you get there.

Exit

You can choose several ways. We recommend descending to neue Seehute, from which you can comfortably descend on the marked path back to the car.
