Characteristics

One of the most interesting crossings of the Alpine peaks, from the Zugspitze to the summit of Alpspitze. The journey is about 5 km long, so it is a rather difficult route without the possibility of adding water. Definitely necessary to climb in good weather, otherwise the ridge could become fatal.

Arrival

Munich - Ga-Pa - Hammersbach. Park by the cable car.

Approach

From the parking lot to the Höllentallklamm george, there is a fee of couple of euros. Go through it and get to the valley where you go up to the glacier. Walk over it and on its right side is the start of the Hollental Kleterstaig Zugspitze ferrata, which will take you to the top of the Zugspitze. Here you can sleep and continue to Alpspitz. Or, of course, you can also get to the top by cable car.

Exit

From the Alpspitze take the cable car down.
