Characteristics
Ferrata Gjaidstein is a very beautiful and easy via ferrata on the Dachteinstein massif near the cable car. Rather, it is a ridge trail that is secured by ropes. The path is well marked and leads through a distinctive ridge. The hardest sections are of difficulty A/B, otherwise the whole ferrata is of difficulty A. Despite the low difficulty, we highly recommend equipment, as wet limestone is very slippery and there is a risk of injury. On the top of Hoher Gjaidstein there is a top cross and a nice view of the neighboring Hoher Dachstein, Koppenkarstein and the lakes north.
