Characteristics

A shorter via ferrata right next to lago di Como. Ferrata is divided into several sections and it is up to you how which way you'll climb it. As an ideal option we recommend eight, that is: from the start in the tunnel towards the surface and back into the tunnel with an easier C/D section. Go to the end of the tunnel and climb the B-line. Go to the B/C wall and climb it. Go down via the difficulty A ferrata and climb B/C back to start. see: Topography. Ferrata is not hard.

Arrival

Through Bolzano to Varenna.

Approach

From the car park in Varenna or from the small car park (max 3 cars) by the tunnel towards the south side of the tunnel. Go through the tunnel extension and there is a start of the ferrata in the window.

Exit

Same as approach.

Interesting facts

Around the ferrata there are built-in steel ropes for the boat from the lake. So don't confuse them with some part of the ferrata. Follow the topography.
