Characteristics

The via ferrata is located in the Mučeva Gorge, near Žerjava, near Črna na Koroškem, and was opened in 2021. A large part of the route is grade B and transitions to grade C at the end, followed by a rope bridge and the summit.

Arrival

From the municipality of Mežica towards Žerjav to the parking lot, which is about 500 m before Žerjav on the right side of the road.

Boarding

From the parking lot turn left on the main road along the house on the other side for about 200 m to the bridge, where there is an information board and the entrance to the via ferratas. Continue to the road split and continue right to the entrance to the easier path.

Exit

Descent from the summit via the red-blue signpost and directly right down to the parking lot.

Interesting facts

Near the village of Črna na Koroškem is the longest zipline in Slovenia (1263 m, at an altitude of 206 m) and the 1700 m long Olimpline via ferrata.
