Characteristics

This beautiful ferrata was completely renovated in 2000. It offers now both C / D and E.

After reaching the top of the "Westlicher Elferturm" (2482m) You have to climb down the same way you came up and follow the yellow markings to the exit.

Arrival

Stubailtal - Neustift - from here by cable car up.

Approach

From the cable car to Elferhütte and then to Elferspitz to the turn to Nordwandsteig (there is a sign). There is a new approach to the ferrata. Follow the yellow sign "Neuer Zustieg Klettersteig Nordwand Ferrata" (left) and use the approach to the "Elferkofel Klettersteig" for roughly 550m until the sign to the Nordwand Ferrata where you turn right and follow a well marked path to the entry. Dont try to use the old approach. It is still useable but some parts are in poor condition because of washouts.

Descent

From the top down again the same way, follow the signs to Elferhütte.
