Characteristics

The ferrata stretches directly above the city Hallstatt. Ideal for those who do not want a long adventure and want to enjoy magical views and an exciting ferrata. The Ferrata is enriched by a panama ladder, which you have to climb by its inner side. All of the Hallstatt you have underneath you! The Echernwand contains two D areas, one of which can be bypassed. Not suitable for beginners.

Arrival

Via Linz to the town of Hallstatt.

Approach

You can park on a paid car park directly in Hallstatt. There are several options, the closest is the car park just off the cable car. (you can park directly in the tunnel just before Hallstatt, parking is free for an hour .. and from 6PM free) There is a trail underneath the cable cart, after about 100m you take the first left turn into the forest. In notime, you will be at the ladder starting the ferrata.

Exit

From the top of the ferrata, the trail leads up to the cable car station, from where you can take the cable car down or a winding road down the hill.
