Characteristics

A fairly exposed ferrata. The hardest place is a traverse right in the lower passage (some sources classify it even as the D / E difficulty). Once you cross the traverse, you win. The Ferrata is badly damaged at the bottom and there is a minimum of natural grabs, so it going to be hard for your arms.

Parking is next cable car, the longer you arrive, the worse will be to find a place. IS the parking is full, park anywhere along the road (italians tolerate it)

Arrival

Passo Falzarego

Approach

From the car park, take the No. 402 to the Forcella Travenanzes saddle and continue on route No.208 to the bivouac della Chiessa. A bit behind the bivouac is the entrance to the ferreta (marked).

Descent

The descent is initially also on the Ferrata (Difficulty C), then the gravel way to the bivouac della Chiessa and then you will meet the car on the way you went up.

The second descent option is to turn off the bivouac towards the Monte Lagazuoi rifugio and then down the tunnel (1200 m long - the headlamp required) Galeria del Lagazuoi.

Alternatively, go to the Alta Via Fanis Veronesi. All the roads will take you down the cable car where you started the route in the morning.

Attractions

In nice weather, great views of both Tofana, which are next door

When you climb, you can enjoy the remains of the original ladders that have been there since the time of the First World War

Ferrata ends at nearly 3000 m.nm (2989)
