Characteristics
Ferrata Bienmesabe is the shortest and easiest ferrata in Gran Canaria and was only recently opened on May 12, 2016. It is located very close to the main road near the capital of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. From the top of the ferrata there is a beautiful view of the valley with a monumental highway bridge. Despite the proximity of the city there is beautiful natural landscape with many cacti! Although the beginning of the ferrata is of difficulty C, the easier passage of difficulty B and less follow, and so the ferrata is also suitable for beginners and children. It is advisable to combine with the neighboring slightly harder Robenreford ferrata.
Difficulty: 2 out of 5 - time (total needed) is: 0hrs. and 28min. (28min.)

Arrival
From Las Palmas to CG 23 to the south. At exit 7 (Lomo Blanco / San Roque / Tafira), exit the motorway and at the roundabout take the first exit. At the next roundabout, take the third exit to the left to Carretera Lomo Blanco. This street will then change to Barranco Zurbarán where you can park somewhere - preferably in sight of a roundabout at the motorway exit.
Approach
Go to the pedestrian crossing from the parking lot. Cross the road to open space with a large electric mast. Proceed to it first along the highway along the concrete walkway and after it starts turning to the bridge over the highway, go straight along the highway straight (turn left).
Immediately behind a large electric mast, an inconspicuous path leads between the cacti down to Barranco de Guiniguada. At the beginning, go to the right and follow the mound to the left into a canal where you can easily reach Ferrat Bienmesabe (at the double cave) directly under the the three electric masts.
Exit
At the end of the ferrata turn left and follow the path to the big electric mast. From there the same way back to the parking lot.
