Characteristics
The ÖTK via ferrata was renewed in the fall of 2006 and due to the risk of falling stones in the lower part, the track has been changed. The completion took place in the spring of 2007. A few years later, a second - slightly lighter version - was done with a rope bridge.
Arrival
A2 to Klagenfurt, then the B91 towards Ferlach and on to Zell-Pfarre. From there on the toll road to the Koschutahaus.
By public transport: By train to Weizelsdorf. Continue by bus (line 5336) to Zell-Pfarre. From there on foot.
Approach
From the parking lot of the Koschutahaus follow the Carinthian Border Trail into a scree until about 1690 m. At a boulder with the red inscription "ÖTK" branch off to the right and, following the red dot marking, the scree slope up to the entrance.
Exit
As ascent or over the easy variant of the via ferrata. Descent through the dangerous eastern gorge of Koschutnikturmes (high risk of falling rocks!) is not recommended.
