Characteristics

The Himmelstigen via ferrata has an overall difficulty of C and can also be climbed in wet weather. The route is well secured with clamps and steel cables.

Arrival

From the town of Tyssedal you can get to the parking lot below the dam of Lake Ringedal.

Boarding

From the parking lot, follow the path along the left bank of the lake until you come across the mountain river Endaáni, which flows into the lake. Cross the river using a wooden bridge. After a few meters (a small sign points to the via ferrata) you climb through the forest to the entrance to the via ferrata.

Exit

After the via ferrata you can either turn right onto the hiking trail to Trolltunga or turn left back to the parking lot.
