Characteristics

This is not a Via Ferrata. The route is secured with clamps, chains and two steel ladders. It runs along the slopes and along the ridge through the passes and peaks, between the Zawrat and Krzyżne passes. The trail is marked in red - One-way route.Not suitable for beginner mountain tourists.Traverses dominate on Orla Perć. There are numerous exposures. This is the longest ridge trail in the High Tatras. It is considered the most difficult and dangerous hiking trail in the Tatras and in all of Poland.

Arrival

You can leave your car in the car park along Bronisława Czecha Street (between Rondo Jana Pawła II and Wielka Krokiew) – approx. PLN 20 for the whole day.

Approach

There are several trails leading to Orla Perc.

From Kuźnice along the blue trail through the Murowaniec shelter, the black Gasienicowy Staw pond to the Zawrat pass.

Descent

From the Krzyżne Pass along the yellow trail to the Murowaniec shelter, and then along the blue trail to Kuźnice.
