Characteristics

A ridge-secured path in the Western Tatras that offers beautiful views and allows exercise in high alpine, rocky terrain. Securing is done by chains, which are used more to hold on than to attach via ferrata sets. Therefore, via ferrata sets are not worn here, so caution is advised and fear of heights should be avoided. If it rains, it is not recommended to climb this secured path. The path is accessible in both directions.

Arrival

Zuberec to the Pod Spálenou car park.

Boarding

From the parking lot on the red path and then on the blue path to Smutné sedlo (Sad Saddle), via Plačlivé to the start.

Exit

From Jamnícké sedlo (Jamnícké Saddle) via Volovec and Rákoň on the yellow path, then on the green path and finally on the red path back to the parking lot.

Interesting facts

Secured chains, no via ferrata sets are worn.

Beautiful views and during the approach you can walk around the Roháčské plesá (Roháč Lakes).
