The first Via Ferrata on the French side of the Pyrenees. There are two routes with French difficulty levels AD (assez difficile) and D+ (difficile), which corresponds approximately to B/C. There will likely be a fee to access the Via Ferrata.
Arrival
Take the N116 road to the village of Saillagouse and then continue on the CD 33 towards Llo. In the village turn right towards the Segre river, parking is in Bains-de-Llo. Follow the sign "Via ferrata" and get to the ticket office.
Boarding
Cross the bridge to the right side of the Segre River. The approach is easy, after which you can choose between the easier via ferrata Llisses de Llo (AD ~ B) and the more difficult Llisses dretes (D+ ~ C/D). The first is easy, while the second ends with a challenging traverse of the Hirondelle.
Exit
The via ferrata ends at the Romanesque chapel of Sant Feliu (1659 m), from where a path leads down.
