Characteristics
The via ferrata is well secured and equipped with many via ferrata stirrups and wooden stairs. Suitable for absolute beginners, difficulty level maximum B. This via ferrata serves as a descent for most via ferratas in the Cuha Valley.
Season: July 16th - February 14th
During the breeding season from February 15th to July 15th, climbing some upper sections of the climbing routes is not possible. Unfortunately, we were unable to find out more information about the specific locations to which this measure applies. For more information, visit www.vasaltutak.hu.
Arrival
see GPS parking lot.
Boarding
From the parking lot, walk east past the Köpince Fogado restaurant. After 50 meters the road turns left but you continue to follow the footpath straight ahead. After about 100 meters, turn right at the intersection. After almost 200 meters in a southeasterly direction you will reach the riverbed of the stream. Here you turn right again and walk about 700 meters south. Access is via wooden stairs to the left of the path. This via ferrata serves as a descent for most via ferratas, so there is often busy climbing traffic here.
Exit
From the summit you descend the same via ferrata to the access path, which takes you back to the car park.
Interesting facts
The Köpince Fogado restaurant at the parking lot offers excellent home-made cuisine. We recommend the pulled pork burger!
