Characteristics

Two beautiful but difficult ferratas near the Bodensee lake, connected and linked to each other. It is climbing on exposed passages, not suitable for those who have dizziness and especially for beginners! When the via ferrata is damp and wet, it becomes much more difficult. I would recommend doing this climb only in summer if it hasn't rained 2-3 days before.

Arrival

Schnepfau. There is a parking space for maybe 5 cars next to the entry to the hiking route.

Approach

2-3 minutes along the forest path towards wall. Then right along the stream. Look out for the signs on the left at the trees pointing to the "Wälder-Klettersteig" and the "Abenderot-Klettersteig". Go across the creek to the other side. Here the climb begins on a large rock.

Exit

From the top to the left and down the road back to the parking lot.
