Characteristics

It is a simple training via ferrata ideal for beginners and children in a wonderful environment above the river Jizera. In 2022, the via ferrata was extended up to the access road (previously it started 10 m higher - approx. 30 m before the rock on the left, 10 m up the descent path and on the right on the footpath to the rock). The rock is rough, with enough natural steps, non-slip, without any difficult sections, at the end there is a rope bridge made of 3 mutually untied ropes. If you don't want to go to the bridge, before the final ascent, go left on the descent path. From the top there are great views of the Jizera and its surroundings.

Arrival

See GPS coordinates, parking lot at the garage at the end of U Tunelu street. The second option is to park by road no. 292 here: 50.61603, 15.30469.

Approach

From the parking lot at the end of U Tunelu Street, take the forest path along the Jizera River for approx. 250m. Access to the via ferrata is directly from this forest path. In the second case, from road No. 292, take the yellow path to the east along the forest path, after 150m the path turns right, but here you will go straight into the forest on a well-trodden forest path down the hill and after another 150m you will come to the top of the via ferrata, from where the descent on the way you will come to the entrance.

Exit

Descent along a very steep forest path counter-clockwise (pretty well secured with ropes) back to the access road by the Jizera River. In the second case, follow the forest path up to road No. 292.
