Characteristics
Very nice and airy mountain ferrata. The first part is a simple comb, but the second part is more airy and more difficult. Difficulty C / D is at two places that are secured by ladders.
Arrival
From Cortina D'Ampezzo take the direction of Lago di Misurina on the road SR48. At Rio Gere you will reach a large parking lot at the cable car station.
Approach
By cable car to Refugio San Forca, from there you will have to climb approx another 700m elevation to Forcella Staunies (As of 2024 Sept the old cabin cable car does not work there.) From the cable car a few dozen meters to the Riffugio Lorenzi. Ferrata begins practically just below her terrace
Descent
From the top you have to come back on the red marked trail called Discesa. This is a separate descent route back to Forcella Staunies that is also part of the ferrata and is secured by ropes. For the last section you descent on the same ferrata section where you went up.
From the Forcella Staunies, you have two options: You can either descend to Rifugio San Forca directly on the same way you came up,or alternatively you can follow the Via Ferrata Ivano Dibona.
