Characteristics

A true mountain via ferrata featuring the wildness of the Ortler Alps. Over three and a half hours of climbing will take you over 500 meters. On the ferrata you will find several hard sections D and a few difficulty D / E to E. Prepare for a really challenging ferrata, on a perpendicular smooth rock that will lead you up to altitude of 3,128 meters.

Arrival

Innsbruck - further on the A12 motorway heading to Switzerland. Drive towards Reschia and continue via Vintschgau to Stelvio, then to Solden (Solden) where you park on the marked parking lot.

Approach

From Solda, you will go to the Tabaretta hut, and then follow the winding ridge to the rock, where is the start of the ferrata. (follow the orange signs)

Exit

From the end of the ferrata, continue along the well-marked mountain path to Payerhütte, from which you descend to Tabaretta hutte and down to Solda.

Interesting facts

Beautiful views of the Ortler Alps and the northern wall of Ortler.
