Characteristics

An interesting and modern via ferrata in Schwärzenkamm in Ötztal. The ferrata has a longer approach and is at an altitude of almost 2500m. The climb can be combined with sleeping on the Hochwildehaus cottage and extending the trip and enjoying the beautiful views of the surroundings. The surrounding area is also suitable for cycling.

Arrival

Munich - Mittenwald - Telfs - turn to Ötztal - Sölden - Obergurgl - here are two parking lots.

Approach

From Obergurgl on a gravel road to Schönwieshütte (2266 m) and Langtalereckhütte (2450). In the direction of Hochwildehaus, across the creek and to the left to get to the start of the ferrata.

Exit

Continue to either the Hochwildehaus cottage or go down the road.
