Characteristics
The nature-friendly ascent through the Kleine Klause is a short, extremely well-secured ascent through a gorge-like ditch.
Arrival
A2 to exit Wöllersdorf, from there on the B21 to Waldegg and further into the Dürnbach valley until the end of the street.
Public transport: by train from Wr. Neustadt to Waldegg (every hour), from there on foot to Dürnbach (approx. 45 min).
Approach
The approach is on a hiking trail marked in green (yellow from the entrance) - 200 vertical meters.
Exit
If you want to return to the starting point immediately, it is best to descend from the Waldeggerhaus via the green marked Krumme Ries. A nice round results if you follow the blue marking from the Waldeggerhaus to the Waldegger Klause (Grosse Klause) and descend through it (A).
Interesting facts
Alternative program: in addition to the various climbing opportunities (including the Badner Turm), there is a lookout point and a beautiful wildlife reserve on the high plateau of the Hohe Wand.
