Characteristics

Difficult but beautiful via ferata on the north wall of Krippenstein with a path to its top!

The ferrata has a simple approach throgh via ferrata Himmeleck of A/B difficulty, but then the need of muscles is coming! There are ladders, overhanging passages, etc., which even experienced climbers might struggle with.

Arrival

Linz - Bad Ischl - Hallstatt - Winkl - in Winkl you turn right in front of the bridge and then turn right to the second road in front of the bridge again. The road leads you to the cable car and the parking lot.

Approach

Follow the path slightly ascending to Funf-finger. Watch the infotables with instruction. The path to the start of the ferrata is marked in yellow.

Exit

Descent from the top to the cable car.
