Characteristics

A small kletterpark, but it is bulit from several different variants, where both families with children and experienced climbers can enjoy it. You can start climb C variant, which can be handled by children as well, then descend by light A. For the more experienced climbers the route continues as a  C traverse, difficulty continues with the C / D down. For the best climbers there is (but short - about 3 meters) a passage of E / F difficulty, followed by a C traverse, finally the route is disconnected and leads to the castle - here the difficulty is rated D / E. Generally, there are only a few supporting elements on this ferrata, it is mainly a safety rope and then only rock. The fact that the rock is relatively small here offers a lot of fun for the ferratist.

Arrival

Ferrata is located in the small town of Panzendorf, just a few kilometers from the border with Italy and accessible either on the Salzburg - Gmund - Spittal an der Drau - Lienz or Graz - Klagenfurt - Villach - Spittal - Lienz axis. Of course you can also come from Italy from the direction of Brixen or Cortina d'Apezzo.

Approach

From the parking lot by the old wooden bridge, you can not miss it;)

Exit

Most variants go straight back to the start, in the case of the most difficult one, you can climb up to the castle and need to get back to parking.

Interesting factsing

Short, but very variable ferrata, where all the age and performance categories of the ferratist can be enjoyed. :)
