Characteristics

Ferrata connects to Giussepe Olivieri Ferrata and leads you to the top of Tofano di Mezzo (3244m.nm). Ascent, ferrata Olivieri and descent, will take 14 hours of hard work. The descent can be accelerated by the cable car, you save 3 hours.

Arrival

Cortina d'Ampezzo - further towards Passo Falzerego. A few kilometers in front of the saddle turn right to Rifugio Dibon, where you can get on a forest road. Park at the cottage.

Approach

From the parking lot of Rifugio Dibona, follow the marked road No. 433, we reach Rifugio Pomedés. From Rifugia Pomedes follow the marked path to the left of the Giussepe Olivieri Ferrata, you will climb Olivieri and Ferrata Gianni Aglio will follow.

Exit

You have more variants of descent:

a) descent to the Rifugio Giussani and from there to the parking lot by marked hiking trail (3.5 hours)

b) descent via Via ferratu Lamon to Tofano di Dentro, via Formenton ferrata and Sentiero attrezzato Giusseppe Olivieri (approx. 7 hours)

c) use cablecar

Price of cable car from Tofana di Mezzo (2017) - 1 station - 12 euro, 2 stations 20 euro, 3 stations 25 euro. The last cable car is at 5:00 pm.
