Characteristics
Via ferrata build in 2021 that runs alongside and in the gorge of Mučevo in the settlement Žerjav.
Arrival
On the main road Mežica - Črna na Koroškem towards Žerjav to parking lot about 500 meters before Žerjav on the right side of the road.
Approach
From the parking lot, head back towards Mežica and follow the sidewalk on the right side for about 200 meters to the signpost for the ferrata. From the sign, continue along the forest path into the gorge to a small wooden bridge (blue and red markings), where the lighter and heavier ferrata separate.
Exit
At the end of via ferrata, the path continues straight ahead (blue and red markings) along the ridge to the forest path/road and then along it to the right to the electric power line, here right down the path under the power line to the parking lot.
Interesting facts
A few suspension bridges along the ferrata, possible bypasses in several places so it is possible to avoid all heavier sections.
