Characteristics
This via ferrata is located near Jesenice - in the Dobršnik gorge just above Hrušica, which is known for its many waterfalls. It is not too demanding, but very nice and therefore suitable also for beginners and families with children. It was officially opened on 3rd of August 2022 and it is closed between 31st of October and 1st of April. Be aware: the rock can be slippery even in the hottest days!
Arrival
Large, well maintaned parking lot in Hrušica, 40 minute drive from Ljubljana.
Approach
15 minute walk from the parking lot. The path is well marked with red arrows and yellow signposts.
Exit
The descent starts on the road at the top of via ferrata.
Points of Interest
There are 8 waterfalls in the gorge (ferrata runs next to 7 of them), the highest one is 22 meters high. It is possible to prolong the ascent to Hruščanski vrh (1776 m).
